Ty Vaughan, D.D.S.
Dr. Ty Vaughan was born and raised on a ranch in Northeastern Oregon, outside of the town of Halfway. Ty grew up learning the value of hard work, and an appreciation for the outdoors. He attended the University of Washington for college, but please don’t hold it against him. Ty received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado, where he also completed a General Practice Residency that focused on surgery, endodontics, and the treatment of medically compromised patients. He received the Surgical Resident of the Year award at the completion of his residency. Ty practiced as a general dentist for two years before completing the Endodontic Fellowship at OHSU, and then completed his residency in Endodontics at OHSU. Doctors Dale Barker, Mark Danielson, and Jon Yatsushiro, who are part-time instructors at OHSU, asked him to join the Endodontic Specialty Group at the end of his residency. Ty enjoys spending his free time with his wife Cathy, and their two young sons Tobin & Connor. They try to get outside and explore as much of Oregon as possible.
